The Opportunity
Due to an internal secondment, we have an immediate 6-month Senior Governance Officer (AO6) contract opportunity to work for one of our statutory body clients, an independent regulator, within their Corporate Governance division.
Working within a small, professional team and reporting directly to the Manager, Corporate Governance, your role will involve a range of duties including the provision of specialist advice around governance policies, practices and procedures, supporting strategic and operational planning, reporting, risk management, fraud and corruption control, performance measurement, governance, risk, policy and compliance frameworks.
To hit the ground running, ideally you will have:
Your Profile:
- Proven corporate governance expertise, ideally gained from within a local, state or federal public sector agency or statutory body
- Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills required to provide high-level reports, briefs, presentations, submissions
- The natural ability to quickly form positive internal and external relations and confidence to provide specialist advice, encouraging information transparency and performance improvement
- Deep experience in the review and analysis of risk management frameworks, supporting effective reporting and identifying emerging issues
- The desire and motivation to educate the business, supporting corporate governance capability and increase awareness.
- Experience in the preparation of estimates briefs and supporting the development of annual reports are key focus requirements for this role.
Remuneration and Hybrid Options
Remuneration is in the range of $76 - $81.00 per hour plus super (dependent on experience). Hybrid working is negotiable, once an initial induction period has been completed.
